Wrapped French Loop Half up

Well! Loop is the main feature about this hairstyle. This hairstyle looks best with a French Base which is little time consuming. I have decided wear this hairstyle in Puja of my cousin’s wedding function.  I didn’t had enough time to do the french loop style so I found a way out to braid it the same way but with the half up style.

You can do this hairstyle with either dry or wet hair, depending upon the how “neat” you want. I did this with dry hair. But I would recommend you to do it with wet hair if you are doing it for the first time.

I have listed “hard” in skill level because it is really difficult to keep the track of the strands. Once you have patterned down it won’t take much time.

You’ll Need: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, hair elastics, bobby pins, u-pins, hair clips, hairspray {if desired}.

Time Taken: 15 mins

Skill Level: Hard

Hair Length: Medium to Long Hair

Steps of Instructions:

  1. Begin by side parting the hair..
  2. Now take the diagonal section of hair beside the parting , and divide it into 3 equal strands.
  3. Begin the simple french braid by completing one stitch.
  4. Outermost strand of the french braid, the strand close to the forehead, section off small piece of hair and clip it off away.
  5. Pick up the new section of hair (not the one which is kept aside) and add it into bottom strand, like you would braid it in regular french braid.
  6. Cross the new gathered strand over the middle strand.
  7. Now, on the outside strand nearest the top of the head, again, section off a smaller strand of hair, and clip it off away..
  8. Add new hair to the top section of hair, like you would braid it in regular french braid.
  9. Cross the new gathered strand over the middle strand.
  10. Go back to Outermost strand of the french braid, the strand close to the forehead, section off small piece of hair and clip it off away.
  11. Now reach underneath and grab the tiny strand of hair which was clipped off away.
  12. Add that small strand of hair into original bottom strand, while also pick a new hair to add into it.
  13. Repeat #4-12 steps, until you reach till ears..
  14. After you are done with braid, gently start pulling the loop which is created.
  15. Secure the braid with an elastic and add the hair spray (if needed).
  16. Place the braid horizontally such that the remaining hair on the other side of ear can be pin it off with over the braid..
