Loop Waterfall Half Up

Hello! Loop waterfall similar like cascading loop half up style but this is done differently with each loop crossing over next to the other instead of underneath. The braid looks much intricate and needs a little patience. I think this hairstyle works easier with wet hair.

You’ll Need: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, hair elastics, bobby pins, hairspray {if desired}.

Time Taken: 8-10 mins

Skill Level: Hard

Hair Length: Medium to long hair

Steps of Instructions:

  1. Begin with side parting the hair, grab the section of hair from heavier section and divide it into 3 strands.
  2. Now take the cross the sides over the middle strand.
  3. Then drop the hair from back section, reach to the bottom section & split the hair into half, cross it over the middle section.
  4. Again cross the back strand by adding new hair as usual over the middle strand.
  5. Then drop the hair from back section, reach to bottom section & split the hair into half, cross it over the middle section.
  6. Continue doing the above step till you have 3 dropped strand.
  7. Now pick the first hanging strand and incorporate into the stitch as usual, making the loop.
  8. Cross the back strand by adding new hair as usual over the middle strand.
  9. Split the bottom strand and cross over one of the halves over the middle strand. Then reach through the loop and pull the next hanging strand through the middle so it stays over the top. Now, incorporate into the braid to create the second loop.
  10. Repeat the above steps, creating the loop and pulling the dropped strand over the middle strands.
  11. After incorporating all the loops, braid the rest of the hair into regular braid.
  12. Now pin the braid at the back of crown underneath the section of hair.

Happy Braiding.
