Double Waterfall

Well! Waterfall braid gives the romantic look. This double waterfall braid is one step advance to the regular waterfall braid. Here the pieces which is dropped while doing waterfall braid is restitch to create double waterfall braid. This braid is little tricky as to which strand to pick while doing second waterfall. However it takes a few try before you’ll have it perfectly, but it looks ultimate after it’s done!

I did double waterfall with ponytail but you can do it three waterfall together also. It totally depends on you! Likewise you can also do twisted waterfall.

You’ll Need: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, hair elastics, bobby pins, curling iron, hairspray {if desired}.

Time Taken: 7-9 mins

Skill Level: Hard

Hair Length: Any hair length

Steps of Instructions:

  1. Begin with side parting the hair or center parting as desired (I have done side parting), grab a section of hair from the heavier side of the parting and divide it into 3 equal parts.
  2. Take left strand over the middle strand, then right strand over the middle strand and drop down the left strand (which was stitched at First).
  3. Now add new hair to left strand and cross it over the middle strand, then add new hair from the right side (not added with strand bcoz it’s already kept aside) and cross it over the middle strand. Left strand is again dropped down.
  4. Repeat the steps 2-3 until you reach the center of the head and secure it with bobby pins.
  5. Now grab the hair again, just as we did in first step, and do your first stitch.
  6. Instead of adding a new strand of hair from top for waterfall pieces, we are going to use the original waterfall pieces.
  7. Take the first waterfall pieces & cross it over the middle strand & then add new hair from right side, cross it over the middle strand. Drop down the original waterfall piece.
  8. Continue doing this till all the original waterfall pieces are used.
  9. Secure the braid with bobby pins.
  10. Tie the hair into a high ponytail.

Happy Braiding.
