Braided Updo with vintage wave

Hello ! Today’s style is a braided updo with a vintage wave. I did the vintage wave for the very first time. I was not sure if I could do justice with it but it turned out so pretty. Actually, I did this hairstyle on my friend and she is a risk taker in a way that others would generally be hesitant to do that kinda style. So did I took a risk to try something new without even trying at the first place.

She wanted very traditional  & vintage kinda look so this would be the best possible option. She wore this hairstyle with a saree, the whole look seemed to be so elegant. I had attached the red rose to give it more classic look.

You’ll Need: Brush, curling wand 18 mm, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, bobby pins, hairspray {if desired}.

Time Taken: 15-17 mins

Hair Length: Medium Length

Steps of Instructions:

  1. Begin with side parting the hair, take out a square section of hair & keep it aside.
  2. Then make the zig-zag parting diagonally taking the base of original parting & clip it aside.
  3. Do this again by taking the base of the end of the square section.
  4. By now you’ll have total 3 sections of hair.
  5. Start braiding regular french braid with the first section, once you reach till the end, begin to regular braid. Just pancaked the braid any one
  6. Do this with other two section of hair.
  7. Then take the lastly braided section & start rolling the braid such that the pancaked portion remains outside, thus making a rosette.
  8. Wrap other 2 braids around it to give the fuller look.
  9. Now in curl the section of hair which is clipped aside with 18 mm curling iron.
  10. Add a lot of hairspray on the curled hair, comb the hair to stick the flyaways if any.
  11. Then pin the hair arranging in such a way that it make a wave.
  12. Once you reach till ear, wrap the remaining hair around the rosette.

Happy Braiding…
