4 Strand Waterfall

When I saw this hairstyle on Instagram I just loved it. I was so desperate to try this hairstyle. I started looking for the tutorials which can actually teach me how to do. Then I tried to do it a couple of times by it seems so confusing and my hands begin to ache. I took few try to actually achieve this braid. Actually, 4 Strand waterfall is more an advanced version for any of the braider.

You’ll Need: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, hair elastics, bobby pins, hairspray {if desired}.

Time Taken: 10-12 mins

Skill Level: Hard

Hair Length: Any hair length

Steps of Instructions:

  1. Begin with side parting the hair or center parting as desired, grab a section of hair beside parting and divide it into 4 equal parts.
  2. Take 1st strand next to parting and cross it over 2nd strand and under 3rd Strand and over 4th Strand, then cross the 4th Strand under 2nd Strand. (The First stitch of the braid is now complete).
  3. Drop the 1st strand aside. Now you’ll have only 3 Strands in hand (This is the key to braid this style).
  4. Now add new hair to the 1st strand next to the parting and cross it over 2nd strand and under 3rd Strand, then grab a new strand of hair (i.e 4th Strand) and cross it under 1st Strand, then cross the 4th Strand under 2nd Strand.
  5. Repeat the steps 2-4 and braid until you run out of hair. Now you can roll the braid to give it a flower look and secure it with a bobby pin (This is totally option).
