Layered Lace Side Do

Hello! The layered lace side do looks little confusing to you! But believe me once you’ll know how to do it, it’s more cool then! I have just done a lace braid, starting from temple area diagonally down till the nape of neck. You can make as many layers as you want, I did 3 layers. This hairstyle is best to carry on any special occasions like sangeet, reception, photo shoots. You’ll Need: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, bobby pins, hair elastic, hairspray {if desired}. Time Taken: 10-12 mins Skill Level: Medium Hair Length: Medium to long hair Steps of Instructions: Begin with side parting your hair, grab the section of hair from the temple and begin with lace braid. Keep braiding diagonally till you other side of head. Continue to braid regular 3 strand braid till the end of hair. Again start with another lace braid, starting just underneath the previous one. Create as many layers as you want by repeating the above steps. Now pancake the edges of each layer to make it look voluminous. Take the braid together and pin it to keep everything in place. Also take the ends of braid together and secure it with elastic. Add hairspray.

fishtail with bow

Today I’ll be showing this fishtail with bow which looks so cute! You’ll be surprise to know how easy this hairstyle is! Bow is the main feature of this hairstyle. It looks like the bow is attached separately to the braid but to you surprise it is braided along the fishtail. You can wear it casually, formal or special occasions. I did a single bow on braid but you can do this as many as you want keeping equi-distance. It altogether depends on the length of your hair. You’ll Need: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, bobby pins, hair elastics, hairspray {if desired}. Time Taken: 10-12 mins Skill Level: Easy Hair Length: Medium to long hair Steps of Instructions: Begin by taking all the hair on one side or at center, depends on you. Divide the hair into 2 large sections, begin with regular fishtail braid. Do 5-6 stitches of the braid and now grab the piece of hair slightly bigger than the regular one from both the side, cross them over that section & bring it under (now the strands will be interchanged, left one to right side & right one to left side). Then bring these strands over the top, back into their […]

5 Strand Intricate Braid

Hello! Today’s braid is 5 strand intricate braid. Braiding of this braid is slightly different than regular 5 strand braid. Normally under regular 5 strand braid, all the strands are kept in equal size. However for 5 Strand Intricate Braid, the middle strand in kept tiny and rest of them are of equal in size. This one is a lot more challenging! We can use ribbon, micro braid, chain, pearls instead of keeping simple tiny the middle strand. I have used pearls as a middle strand. The braid looked more fancy as I have chosen pearls instead of the hair strand. This hairstyle would be best for a day out, festivals, parties. You’ll Need: Brush, Pearls chain, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, hair elastics, bobby pins, hairspray {if desired}. Time Taken: 10 mins Skill Level: Hard Hair Length: Medium to long hair Steps of Instructions: Begin by side parting the hair, now gently grab two strands of equal size and begin to twist 1st strand under 2nd Continue the twist till you reach ears and secure it with bobby pins. Now take the pearl chain & secure it with bobby pins behind the ear. Then grab the remaining hair to one side, divide the hair […]

7 Strand Ribbon Braid

I have been trying braids with ribbon lately. So today’s braid is 7 strand ribbon braid. I would say that this braid is more complex. The only reason I consider it hard is the 7 strands, holding them in hands is the trickiest part. I did side braid with ribbon. The good thing about the braiding with ribbon is that we can always use different color ribbon matching the outfit or occasion or festival. Here I have used red color ribbon to braid. You’ll Need: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, hair elastics, ribbon, hairspray {if desired}. Time Taken: 10 mins Skill Level: Hard Hair Length: Medium to long hair Steps of Instructions: Begin by side parting the hair & grab all the hair onto one side. Now tie a ribbon around the ear. (If you are using two-color ribbon, tie the ends closed to section. Here I’m using single color ribbon, take long length ribbon and tie the middle of it around). Then divide the section of hair into 5 parts and place the ribbon in a pattern such that(L to R): hair, hair, ribbon, hair, ribbon, hair, hair. Now (from left) place 1st strand under 2nd strand, over the ribbon, under hair (the middle strand), […]

Mermaid Braid

Hello! Mermaid braid, the name itself seems cool to learn this hairstyle! The mermaid braid is mostly done like French braid only, the only difference is tiny strands are incorporated in mermaid braid. The braid looks with fins with gaps. It is something different to try for sure!! You’ll Need: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, bobby pins, hair elastic, hairspray {if desired}. Time Taken: 5-7 mins Skill Level: Easy Hair Length: Medium to long hair Steps of Instructions: Begin with side parting your hair, grab all the hair onto one side. Now grab a chunk of hair beside ear and start with regular 3 strand braid. After completing the first stitch, take a tiny piece of hair from left side and add to the left strand and cross it over the middle strand. Again take a tiny piece of hair from right side and add to the right strand and cross it over the middle strand. Continue doing this till you reach end of hair and secure the braid with elastic. Pull the tiny strands from each stitch to make it look bigger. Happy Braiding.
